Saint Darwin\'s Spirituals artworkThe cover art for Saint Darwin’s Spirituals by D.K. Thompson has been shortlisted for the BSFA Best Art Award. The artwork by Vincent Chong was commissioned by Murky Depths for their fourth issue. Vincent and Murky Depths were both kind enough to let us use the artwork for our podcast version of the story which was released at the same time. We are excited for Vincent, and wish him the best of luck.

Latchkeepers Act Two

Latchkeepers Act Two

Alright, Matt Wallace fans. Just in case you have been living under a rock, Act Two of Latchkeepers is now on Stranger Things. I just watched it. You have to see it. Earl Newton and his crew have put together as good of a production as anything you will see on TV. Oh, that’s right, soon you will be able to see Stranger Things on TV. This thing totally ROCKS!

If you haven’t seen Act One of Latchkeepers, then you need to go here NOW!

The Next Fix Fan Art

This is just too well done to ignore. One of Matt Wallace’s fans created some historical images for The Next Fix. This stuff is very cool. Go check out Matt’s blog to see them. (Warning, for those few of you who don’t know Matt Wallace. His blog is not for the easily offended.)

Help Sigler

Order InfectedOur friends J.C. Hutchins and Seth Harwood put together this audio file specifically for the Variant Frequencies listeners. They are trying to help Scott Sigler make it onto the New York Times Best Seller List. The thought behind this push is that if we can get Scott Sigler’s Infected onto the NY Times list, then that is going to help all fiction podcasters.

Bloody Monday

Today is Monday, Bloody Monday, and we’re celebrating with a special
episode to tell you, our fans, all about it.

I know that many of you are familiar with Scott Sigler, one of the
pioneering voices in podcast fiction and author of the hit podcast
novels Earthcore, Infection, and The Rookie. Now Scott’s most
subversive work, Ancestor, is coming out in print. And on April 1st,
2007, Scott wants to help prove the worth of podcasting to the
literary publishing industry by seeing Ancestor hit number one on
Amazon.com. To help bring you to the cause, Scott is offering Ancestor
in its entirety as a free .pdf download. It’s his hope, and ours, that
this will entice you to buy the novel when it’s released.

Ancestor is horror and suspense at its most raw, a manic fusion of
Michael Crichton and William Burroughs. On behalf of the entire
Variant Frequencies team, I want to encourage all of our fans to
support Scott by logging into Amazon on April 1st and purchasing a
copy. And in the meantime, enjoy Scott’s gift of this free Ancestor
.pdf. Read it, distribute it, blog about it. Help all of us who
podcast fiction show the world that what we’re doing works.

Thank you.

Get Scott Sigler’s “Ancestor” as a FREE PDF file!

Then buy it on April 1, 2007.
